This culinary tour in Naples is a cultural journey that takes you further than the food you’ll eat. As you enjoy authentic local bites ranging from savory to sweet as well as drinks, you’ll also discover the city and its highlights.
Wander around the elegant Vomero area, and see and taste why this area is so popular with the locals. Discover a lively city, admire the contrast of baroque and gothic architecture at the churches of Piazza del Gesu wile tasting a cup of freshly fried fish and other street food.
We’ll get to try bites of famous dishes like fritto misto, a variety of fried goodies with a history that goes back to the Egyptian, and sample the rich flavors of slow-cooked meaty ragu, a staple of Italian home cooking. Try a crunchy, creamy sfogliatella made with lots of layers of sweet pastry – and of course, there’s a chance to feast on traditional pizza in the city that invented it!
And that’s just the beginning; there’s more food to come! Dig into sweet, sticky rum babá, make a toast to this fabulous foodie city by raising a glass of sparkling prosecco as we look out over a stunning view and end our walk with a sip of the classic Italian limoncello.
During the walk we’ll explore Napoli old town, its architetture and churches such us Chiesa del Gesù nuovo, Chiesa di Santa Chiara, the famous street of San Gregorio Armeno.
Furthermore if you wish at the end of this tour (not included in the tour) you could decide to visit independently some of the most fascinating example of architecture, history and culture of Naples such as Cappella Sansevero, San Gregorio Armeno,Napoli Sotterranea, Castel Sant’Elmo .

Highly recommended. See our comments on the trip combined with Herculaneum. The guide was very cultured, witty and interesting taking us through the streets of Naples one would not necessarily see, tasting local foods , wine and coffee.
